Camperdown

Camperdown is a medium sized town located on the Princes Highway between Colac and Warrnambool. The area around Camperdown was shaped over 20 million years ago by volcanic activity and as a result the surrounding rich farming plains have a number of extinct volcanoes of which stick out of the plains like sore thumbs :-). From nearby Mt Leura, a great view over Camperdown can be seen. The main street is essentially the Princes Highway, however it lined with marvellous old oak trees with a magnificent clock tower at the centre of the town the standout feature.
