It would have been a lot better if these books were around when I was young, because when you tell them [teachers and kids] you have 2 mums they don't understand, they ask you if one is a step mum. I couldn't explain it when I was really young. Teachers could put it in the library for all the kids to use. Other kids in Australia could look at it. And we could go to the library and see it again if we want to. Most teachers have got [their own] kids so they could give a copy to them too…”
