Noel E. Shipp, 22. Shipp enlisted in the RAN in 1963 and arrived in Vietnam with RANHFV in 1968. Seven months later in Dinh Tuong province, as EMU formations tried to land troops, they met heavy fire. The lead gunship pursued the enemy into a wooded area. Shipp hung out of the aircraft and was fatally wounded as the aircraft went out of control and crashed |
