Faced with an invasion of Earth from the cyber realm of Negiregia, the International Science Alliance begin running computer competitions to find five students who will become the Megarangers. Also known as "Electromagnetic Battle Team Megaranger". The USA adapted the series to the US market by changing the story, replacing the Japanese cast with a US cast, but retaining the masked ranger vs monster scenes; released as "Power Rangers In Space".
