KAMEN RIDER BLACK

(1987)

Kamen (masked) Riders are "kaizo ningen" (reconstructed humans or cyborgs) who take on some form of insect characteristics. They battle evil kaizo ningen. Kotaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki were born on the same day. Three years later Kotaro's parents are murdered by the cult Golgom. The Akizuki family takes him in and raise him like a brother to Nobuhiko. On their 19th birthday both young men are abducted by Golgom and changed into cyborgs. The Golgom priests refer to Kotaro as the "Black Sun" and Nobuhiko as "Shadow Moon". Kotaro escapes from Golgom, with the help of his "father", and once he discovers his powers takes the name "Kamen Rider Black". As Kamen Rider Black his goal is to stop Golgom's terrorizing of the people of Japan and to rescue Nobuhiko.
