THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES

(1980)

The first manned Earth probe lands on Mars in 1999, with its crew murdered by a Martian. A second team arrives on Mars to be poisoned by the Martians. Col. John Wilder leads a third expedition and discovers that chicken pox brought to Mars by the first two expeditions has almost killed off all of the Martian population. Colonists arrive on Mars.
