1995  Chronogest 45 Sponges and Folligon - 75% Success

• 8 goatlings were treated aged about 12 months.
• Sponges were inserted from 21/10/95-25/10/95 for 15-19 days
• Folligon 3ml (200 iu/ml) was given 48 hours prior to sponge removal
• Matings took place between 8/11/95-15/11/95
• 6 goats kidded
• First goat treated cycled before buck was available and did not kid
• 1 goat was never seen to cycle and did not kid
• No. of kids born to each goat that kidded were 3, 3, 2, 3, 4, 2

1996-1997 - 76% Success

• 7 Goatlings and 18 milkers treated
• 7 goatlings and 16 milkers mated
• 6 goatlings and 13 milkers Kidded
• 1 seen aborted
• 5 untreated goats kidded
• 51 Kids born - 25 Does, 24 bucks and 2 Unknown

• 22 Kidded - 1 kidded 17 days early down the paddock and had dead twins on discovery
• 49 Kids born - 22 does, 27 bucks

• 2 Quad births

Treatment began 26/9/99 and finished around 14/2/00

Kidding began 2/3/00 and finished on 15/7/00

2000-2001 - 96% Success

The 9 Treated goatlings were running with another 36 along with 2 bucks. The 7 that kidded did so in May 03. Of the 36 untreated goatlings, 1 only kidded and that was in late June.

2003- 2004 - 11% Success

• 10 Kids born - 0 does, 10 bucks

The above 4 goats kidded in April. A further 9 goats were treated to kid in June for which I have no results availalbe as yet.
