Michelle Matthews (4^th Dan & Primary Teacher)

Michelle was in the State team for some seven years and was in the Australian Team for three years. She has been a coach for over thirty years.

At Lilydale we emphasise all the aspects of judo.

"Can I have a go ?"                                                                                     Sure can !

Our junior/senior classes cater for all levels from beginner to advanced.

We concentrate on form work as well as competition work.  The students learn theory and a number of Japanese words which helps them in their understanding of the names of the techniques.  Students are encouraged to compete in the monthly competitions run by Judo Victoria as well as our own two inhouse competitions.  We all work together to help each person achieve their full potential.
