Thank you for visiting our RICHES family history web site. Our pages provide a brief overview of the information we've collected over three years of research. We've decided to provide enough information about the history of the RICHES and related families to alert other researchers to possible links. Our families migrated to Australia from England or Ireland - the RICHES, ATKIN, CLIFFORD, BOWN, STEED, ROBINSON & HUTTON families arrived at various times from the mid 1800's. The LEWIS family arrived in Australia in the early 1900's, while the GASCOIGNE family was here by 1959. Please do email us if you recognise anyone from your own family.

We're Jill and Trevor and we live in a small town to the south-east of Adelaide, where we have a close association with the local National Trust Museum. We've collected together a number of South Australian history resources and are always happy to help with research.

Please do visit our " Brick Walls " page. We'd be delighted if you could help us solve one of our long-standing family mysteries. We've had the good fortune to reliably trace one family back to fifteenth century England, but others seem to have left little record of their existence prior to embarking for Australia.

The image at the top left of each page is frequently the earliest pictorial record we have of the family concerned.
