The Peugeot was added to Russell's fleet in 1995 and sold in 2001. It was powered by a 2.2 litre overhead camshaft, fuel-injected engine and was assembled in Australia in 1984. It came complete with such luxuries as power windows, air conditioning, Cromodora wheels and upholstery of Australian wool. It also had (horrors!) automatic transmission which made commuting more pleasant. In fact this car converted Russell into something of a fan of automatics since it can be driven quickly without ever lifting a hand off the steering wheel.

My Chrysler Alpine (these cars became known as Talbot Alpines when Peugeot bought out Chrysler's European subsidiaries) used the 1442cc Simca engine which powered a variety of European Chryslers and Talbots. These front wheel drive cars won the European Car of the Year prize in 1976.
I owned this car from 1993 to 1999, when it was passed on to a fellow Simca enthusiast. It was privately imported into Australia from Yorkshire, England by the previous owner.

This Hunter, now sadly departed, was my first car. You're probably shaving with it now. It was acquired for $100 in the late eighties when I was a student.
It was an Australian made HE model with the 1725cc engine. I rather enjoyed my time with this car. It certainly taught me a bit about car control.
