Baringa is a magnificent and intelligent stallion. Even when just a yearling, he eclipses his mother's full brother Lightning, a year older than him. He is the inheritor of much of Thowra's ability, as well as the speed and agility of his father, of full race horse breeding.

Cloud is the only horse Baringa recognises as the leader of Quambat, though is himself an unbeatable fighter.
