Having developed a strong improvisational technique, which she applies to her compositions and performance in bands. Under the guidance of Pete de Visser (MD Channel 9/Hey Hey and Carols by Candlelight) she has studied and workshopped contemporary band arranging. She regularly applies these skills to live band arranging and digital music for multimedia and film. In 2003 she composed the theme song and score for the Deakin University graduate film student production, 'Matchgirl' and provided ambient music for RMIT's electronic training program on mental health. 2006 saw her add composing projects for DVD documentaries to her skill set while maintaining a live performance schedule.

Meliki has long written instrumental tunes but more recently turned her attention to songwriting and now has a growing catalogue of songs of which samples can be heard on the originals>music page. This draws on her other interest in literature. She is a keen reader of fantasy fiction and mythology and has written award winning short stories. She can also re-record them as instrumental tunes for soundtracks.

She released her debut CD in 2008 touring overseas with it in 2009 and is completing a follow up guitar instrumental CD in 2010. She has also turned her attention to studying electronic music composition on syntheziers integrating workstation tools such as Reason 4, Pro Tools and Sibelious. She volunteered at SYN Radio and TV in various production, presenting and operational aspects to expand her knowledge in collaborating with film and media artists.
