| Meliki is proficient on a number of instruments backed with several years of formal training including five years at the VCA in both classical repertoire and improvisation technique and additional contemporary study at NMIT. She began live professional performing at 13 years old and first gained recording experience at 15 years old. She can work within large orchestral ensembles having performed in pit orchestras for music theatre, in swing and stage big bands, world, latin and funk ensembles backing dancers and other stage productions. She has collaborated on writing music scores and performing them for film and multimedia as well as working with contemporary artists backing them for live performances, recording tracks and collaborating with other musicians forming coverbands and original bands and duos. Being an excellent sight reader, she is fast to slot into a performance project and on numerous ocassions has been dep or filled in for coverbands and theatre productions with little notice and rehearsal. holds current performers public liability insurance provided by
Allianz and has a PA and lights suitable for venues and functions
without their own systems. |
