Dedication of the "Strangman Studio",

Chevalier College, Bowral, NSW,

Sunday 19 September 1999

On Sunday 19 September 1999, during the Chevalier Gymkhana and Show, a short ceremony was held to dedicate the new "Strangman Studio" in the art department which has been named after Father Bryan Strangman MSC (1929-1980). The studio was made possible by proceeds from the fortuitous discovery, many years after his death, of paintings that Father Strangman had collected. Father Strangman is remembered for his love of art and the development of wilderness education during the years that he taught at Chevalier.

The following is a selection of photographs taken during the ceremony and afterwards.
