CONSULTATION ROOMS

onc11.jpg (12389 bytes)

These photos are typical of the consultation rooms used by the Oncologists. Not everyone who attends the Oncology Ward is scheduled to receive chemotherapy in the treatment room. They might be there for a check up by the Oncologist or to receive the go ahead for oral forms of chemotherapy to be taken at home. These are often obtained on script from the Oncology Pharmacy near the Chaplains' area in the outside corridor.

The Oncologist is able to check your blood test results via the computer. Visit this other area of the Canberra One-Stop Cancer Web-Shop to learn how your blood is analysed by ACT Pathology within the Hospital.
