Now what is hot and what is not?
Firstly, and there does not appear to be too much that is hot at present. My only suggestion is to look at good quality "Blue Chips" that have been over sold over the past couple of months. A few worth looking at are AGL, Coles Myer, NAB,CBA & BHPBil. There are others out there, but be careful and make sure your research is top quality.
What is not hot? Most definitely the high tech sector at present. There are not as many but there are some real dogs out there. To venture into this sector at present requires real nerves of steel. The Telco sector is also a bit dicy at present. However I feel that Telstra is worth a look at.
Managed Funds still appear to be the best solution at present. With possible upside overseas in the next 3 to 6 months a good overseas Manager may be a good option.
