COURSE DESCRIPTION :
DURATION : ONE THEORY AND GEAR CHECK SESSION PLUS A 2 DAY WALK WITH AN OVERNIGHT CAMP-OUT.
Designed with the bushwalker and highland angler in mind, this course enables practice under supervised conditions of navigation, safety and survival skills that can be called upon when walking in Tasmanias higlands in times of bad weather.
The walk takes place in the Western Central Plateau vicinity with a specific itinerary chosen to suit weather and participant considerations on the day.

In general, the course introduces the following in both theory and practical.
This practical introduction to walking and overnight survival in Tasmanian snow conditions requires previous camping out experience along with sound and suitable clothing and equipment as a prerequistite for enrolment.
