The St Kilda Drop In Centre is situated on the corner of Carlisle Street and Chapel Street St Kilda.

It is open Monday to Friday 8.45am - 4.00pm and provides things like light meals on some days, activities, outings, camps, general information on housing, answers to pension enquires.
The centre was commenced 18 years ago out of a need to address needs that people living in the community with psychiatric illness were experiencing. At the time there was no meeting place where individuals felt safe, secure and could express themselves.

The centre has come a long way since then, and has as many as 60 people through a day. This equates to 13,000 a year using the centre, to maybe just read a newspaper or to catch up with friends
